I stared at my Adidas watch and my black Puma sling bag.
My forehead frown.
A glimpse of my Nike and Hush Puppies shoes suddenly knocked my head.
A long sigh.
It does not count my Nike baggies yet.. I have a collection of Nike bags.
I am not sure whether I am a so-called-brand conscious. Am I? yucks!
It started when I lived in the UK. The branded goods were extremely cheaper compared those sold in Malaysia. Can u imagine, you can have a pair of Clarks with 10 pounds which equivalent to RM50 (during my time)? In Malaysia, you can never dream to wear Clarks unless you can pay at least RM 200 for each simple dimple design.
I have never dreamt to put on Nike or Adidas before I went to the UK. But everytime boxer's day got nearer, you will start to think of those branded goodies with super duper cheapy. Sigh.
Well, I don't fancy those branded goodies because of the reputation or status whatsoever. I trust the quality and life shelf. I must tell that most of my branded goods (cloths/bags/etc ectc) are still look good and comfy even though I have bought them 2-3 years ago. I still use them regularly until now. Plus I don't have the habit of changing styles of shoes, handbags etc etc. I don't really fancy of shopping. Honestly, I go shopping during raya and that's it. I will wear those things I bought during raya for the entire year. Hoh.
And that is why I prefer buying something with well known superb quality and tadaa ..I will wear it until 2-3 years without nagging about broken shoes lah, torn bags lah..
So back to the topic, am I a brand conscious still?
p/s: An entry from Inche Gabbana and from someone were like giving me a "slap on my cheek". Someone who receives tarbiyyah wouldn't be too dunya and will live in moderation. How about me eh?
-arghh tertekan-
